About Me

Dr. Qianyi Xu is a board-certified Medical Physicist at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Cooper Medical School at Rowan University. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson and completed his Medical Physics residency at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He has been working at Cooper since 2010.

Dr. Xu is the lead physicist of Cooper’s CyberKnife and Gamma Knife programs. His research interests include treatment planning for SBRT/SRS patients, image guidance for SBRT, tumor motion management and application of fiducials in SBRT. In 2016, he had the highest score in the CyberKnife category of the AAMD/RSS Plan Study competition.

About Me

About Me

Dr. Yocom, Associate Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery, Cooper Medical School at Rowan University, is the Co-Director of the Cooper Neurological Institute Spine Program. He specializes in complex spinal surgery. He utilizes advanced spinal techniques and cutting-edge technology to operate on all types of spinal disorders. He also lectures and trains other spinal surgeons both locally and nationally. Dr. Yocom employs minimally invasive surgical techniques in his practice. He is the Director for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine's Neurosurgery Residency training program.

Dr. Yocom has a particular interest in spinal trauma and spinal cord injury, cancer treatment of the spine and the treatment of degenerative disease of the spine. Dr. Yocom has access to the latest surgical and non-surgical treatment options available to help treat a wide range of back pain and spinal issues.

About Me

Nicholas Young, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Dr. Young graduated from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, where he was inducted into the CMSRU Chiron Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the William Osler Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine. He completed his residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He subsequently completed the Floating Doctors Global Health Fellowship after resident training as well as earning a Certificate for Point of Care Ultrasonography through Society of Hospital Medicine and CHEST. 

Dr. Young teaches courses at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Cooper University Hospital Internal Medicine Residency. For the residents, he leads the Panama based Global health elective and is involved in the Internal Medicine Board Review, Ultrasound Curriculum, Noon Conference Jeopardy and Resident Reports. His interests include medical education, clinical reasoning, and global health.
