About Me
The McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania; Clinical Research Coordinator
"My time in the research fellowship at Cooper opened my eyes to the world of clinical research, and how research fits in to the everyday lives of clinicians, residents, med students, and healthcare professionals of all different kinds. I entered the program as a new graduate with little knowledge of the orthopaedic clinical research world, and by the end, I was full of passion and excitement for what could come next in my journey of medicine. The fellowship allowed each of us to have one on one time with physicians through shadowing as well as becoming ambassadors for their clinical research projects. It exposed us to not only to the research side of orthopaedics with running retrospective analyses and writing manuscripts for publication, but also the clinical, surgical, and experimental side working with both human and animal subjects. I am forever grateful for my time at Cooper because it inspired me to continue a path in clinical research and seek a job as a clinical research coordinator at Penn, where I now manage an orthopaedic biomechanics research lab. Thank you to everyone who supported the orthopaedics research fellowship program at Cooper, and keep up the good work!"
